Here are a few tips I tell my patients from time to time.

1. Before you even get out of bed in the morning, while you're still warm from sleeping, lay face up and bend your knees and bring your legs close to your chest. This facilitates a gentle stretch of the lower back. hold for about 30 seconds

2. Lay on your side with your knees bent and together, slowly turn your shoulders so that your chest is positioned face up and your back is flat against the bed. Turn on ... See more

Interval training: Workout smarter, not longer!
By Jade Siegal

HIIT (or High intensity interval training) Is described as alternating between intense burst of activity and fixed periods of rest or lower intensity. For example, running or fast walking for 1 minute followed by slower walking for two minutes. Repeat that five times for a 15 minute cardiovascular strengthening workout. Simple, but effective.

According to a study published in the Journal of Phytotherapy Research and other health pages, the properties of ginger are similar to those of sumatriptan, a common medication for a migraine. Ginger is an ... See more

Jazz up Your Water!
by Jade Siegal

Here are some easy and delicious ways to jazz up your water and increase your consumption. Remember, you are meant to drink 64 ounces of water a day. If you drink alcohol or caffeine add that much ounce per ounce more. If you're sweating, add even more!

Number one: add a little bit of fruit juice to your water. My favorite, unsweetened cranberry juice with a little bit of natural sweetener. I use Stevia for sugar-free. (Bonus benefit of cranberry, it helps to flush the lymphatic system!) Add about 8 ounces juice to a 24 to 32 ounce container.
